It seems like last month I ran out of all my basics at once. So, a trip to Sephora was in order. I stuck to some of my favorites but also picked up some new things to try. So far, I love them all! Here’s what I picked up for this Sephora Haul.
This is my favorite setting powder to use. It’s great for setting makeup and also some shine control throughout the day. It’s also a generous portion for the price which is always a plus. *Pro tip – pick up the smaller size too if you plan on traveling. I brought my large size on a plane trip and all the rattling around in the suitcase cracked the plastic.
The ABH brow pencils have been my tried and true pick for eyebrows. They glide on nicely and the color stays put all day. I usually go between the Brow Definer and the Brow Wiz. The only difference is the Brow Definer is supposed to have a tip that is better for creating a more defined hair look. Honestly, I don’t notice a difference between them and I use them just the same. The Brow Definer actually gives you more product for you money though.
Update: I don’t need to fill in my eyebrows anymore since I got them microbladed 🙂 post on this coming soon!
Previously, I was using Origins High Potency Night-A-Mins for my night time cream, but it was feeling a bit heavy for my skin during the summer. I have been using the Aqua Bomb now for a few weeks and I really like it. It is a very light weight gel-cream that absorbs easily into the skin and doesn’t feel heavy at all. Once winter is here and my skin gets a bit dryer, I will probably go back to the Origins Night-A-Mins.
Lately I have been feeling like my skin, especially around my eyes, has been papery. I wasn’t using any kind of serum, so the beauty consultant recommended this. I put it on before using moisturizer. It makes my skin feel a little more plump and hydrated. I definitely want to keep this in my beauty regime.
This product was a splurge, but a very worthy one. I use tretinoin cream 3 nights a week, but my skin has still been breaking out lately. I got a sample of this a few months ago, and have been using it on the nights I’m not using tretinoin. I noticed a huge difference in my break outs. It is good for spot treatments too. I really love this product and am adding into my nightly routine for sure.
I am not a full coverage kinda girl. I don’t like the look or feel of heavy foundation on my face. I usually use tinted moisturizer (like this one from Origins) for my everyday makeup look. The Water Blend Foundation is new so I decided to try it. It is a more watery formula than a traditional foundation so it spreads on easily. I use a Beauty Blender to apply it. It gives enough coverage to smooth skin tone, but feels lightweight. It’s also buildable, so you can add as little or as much as you want.
Since I spent over $75 on skincare, I was eligible for a free facial from Perk Skin care. Read about my experience with this amazing facial here. If you know you will be purchasing skincare at Sephora, I recommend calling ahead to see if your location offers this facial and to make an appointment.
That’s it for this Sephora Haul. Have you tried any of these products, or picked up something good lately? Let’s talk about it in the comments!
